In a nutshell, as an independent communications consultant, I work with nonprofits and small businesses to sharpen, strengthen, and streamline communications for greater impact and greater good. But what does this mean?
Well, oftentimes it means rolling up my sleeves to work with executives and teams to nail down clear, compelling, and cohesive core messaging that helps to advance the mission and engage stakeholders. Other times it means creating or guiding content and campaign development. And still other times it means ideating and executing special promotions or providing consultation and training.
At the end of the day, we're working together to make a difference in our community, and that's what I love about my gig!
But why should you entrust your project to me? Well, you could say I've been around the block a few times as I've spent more than two decades in a variety of settings from entrepreneurship and nonprofit fundraising to entertainment and events. I bring to the table a well-rounded perspective and an abundance of hard-earned know-how. And I like to think I'm kind of fun to work with!

- I am honored to have served on Communications Advisory Boards for CCBC and Robert Morris University, and to currently serve on the Monaca Community Development Corporation's founding board.
- I spent ten years in Los Angeles serving as a senior manager with the MusiCares Foundation and its sister charity, the GRAMMY Foundation. During that time, our team raised upwards of $75 million to help sustain the health and human services of MusiCares and the educational and preservation services of the GRAMMY Foundation.
- When faced with the challenge of growing MusiCares' donor base beyond the music industry, I tried a fun and creative idea that led to the development of the GRAMMY Charity Online Auctions program on eBay, which grew revenue by $1.5 million annually and opened the door to a brand new audience.
- For four years, I served as Communications Director for the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce, keeping over 1,000 member businesses up-to-date on chamber and the continuous flow of business community happenings and opportunities. During that time I designed, wrote, and published FlightLine Magazine which profiled communities, businesses, business leaders, and more.
- I'm a big advocate for mentoring as it has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I'm honored to have mentored performing arts students through the GRAMMY/FOX Studios Mentorship Program during my time in Los Angeles, and more than a dozen Communications and Marketing interns from Robert Morris University and Penn State Beaver. I treasure those experiences and relationships, and still keep in touch with many of them as their professional journeys unfold.
- I believe empathy is one of the most important skills we can foster.

- When I'm not helping clients with communications, I love time with family, friends, and my cat, as well as being involved with my community, serving as a voice coach, and enjoying art and music.
- I'm one of the 10% of the population who hates cilantro.
- I love film and television and have taken great delight in binging Curb Your Enthusiasm, Schitt's Creek, Jane The Virgin, Shameless, AfterLife, and The Handmaid's Tale. I have not one ounce of guilt for the hours spent living in these stories,
- I collect memories, music, heart-shaped rocks, and I have a mini collection of pottery.
